Why would I want to set-up a P2P
LAN in the first place?
Most likely, you will want to set up a P2P LAN in your
home or small office. If you are a part of a school system
you most likely will need a larger network and will hire a
technical expert who can assist in the set-up and management
of your entire network.
P2P LAN, or peer-to-peer local area networks are
developed to allow a limited number of computers to
communicate with each other and share resources such as
printers, Internet access and files on separate
computers. P2P networks do not utilize a network
server. The devices on the network communicate directly with
each other using protocols.
